Recent Achievements
- Professor Mark Boyer and Scott Brown of Ed Psych have received an Outreach Recognition Award from Vice Provost Krista Rodin, for their Global Education project.
- Senior Darrylynn Montague, who attended the APSA's Ralph Bunche Summer Institute this summer, has had her paper, “Salient Factors in Black Support for Affirmative Action,” accepted for a poster session at the APSA annual meetings.
- Professor Betty Hanson has been chosen by the International Studies Association-Northeast as its Northeast Circle Honoree at their annual meeting in Boston this November.
- Professor Richard Hiskes has been appointed editor of the Journal of Human Rights
- Professor Carol Lewis will spend two weeks at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore next spring as part of the Fulbright Senior Specialist Program.
- Assistant Professor Evelyn Simien has received the annual Anna Julia Cooper Teaching Award from the National Conference of Black Political Scientists
- Professors Jennifer Sterling-Folker and Mark Boyer have been chosen to edit International Studies Review
- Assistant Professor Evelyn Simien has been awarded a Women of Color Recognition Award by the UConn Women’s Center
