Tammy Núñez Rivera

5th Year M.A. Candidate

I am a master’s student in Political Science with a strong interest in the intersection of governmental politics and egalitarianism. My interests range social equity, class conflict, and freedom struggles. My background includes union organizing with the Connecticut State Universities, including the institution where I completed my undergraduate studies.

During my time at CCSU, I was an honors student who regularly made the Dean’s List and was recognized by three national honor societies including Summa Cum Laude, Pi Sigma Alpha (the National Political Science Honor Society), and the National Honor Society.

I also served as legislative intern for the Connecticut General Assembly. I was assigned to the Senate Chair of the Public Health committee where I handled constituent outreach and conducted research on a number of public health equity bills. This exemplary work was recognized by the Senate with an Official Citation from Connecticut General Assembly.
