Jin is a doctoral candidate focusing on comparative politics and international relations, with expertise East Asian politics; she is fluent in Korean, English, and Japanese. Jin is exploring fulfillment of the right to water and sanitation globally, drawing on data from United Nations agencies, regional development banks, and nongovernmental organizations. She analyzes both qualitative and quantitative data, and is skilled in data analysis. She holds both a Bachelors and Master’s in Political Science from Ewha Woman’s University (Seoul, Korea), where she focused on civil and political rights, collective memory and identity politics. She has a longstanding interest in social movements and political change.
