Jessica (She/Her/Hers) is a Ph.D. student in the Comparative and Theory Sub-fields. She is a Historical Institutionalist with a particular interest in the use of Low-Intensity Conflict by the United States inside US borders. Her other research interests include critical war studies, gender violence, history, human rights, militarization, decolonial thought, critical race theory, and feminist theory. She is a US Navy Iraq War veteran with 11 years of active duty service and is an advocate for women’s and disability rights.
