Political Science Alumni Mentorship Program

Connect with a political science alum who can help you explore career options, build professional skills, and prepare for what comes next.

The Political Science Alumni Mentorship Program connects sophomore and juniors with alumni mentors in a range of fields. Through regular one-on-one meetings, students receive guidance tailored to their goals while developing communication, problem-solving, and networking skills.

About the Program

Eligibility

The program is open to students who:

  • Are currently enrolled as a sophomore or junior political science major.
  • Have completed at least one full year at UConn.
  • Can commit to attending and thoughtfully participating in required mentorship meetings.

Program Expectations

Mentors and mentees meet virtually or in person for about one hour each month. Participants are expected to meet at least six times during the spring semester, once during the summer, and once in the fall.
