Alumni Notes: Late Spring 2024

Former graduate student and instructor Susana Ulloa (MA ‘95) passed away. We remember her fondly in our department and will carry on her legacy.

Yazmin Garcia Trejo (Ph.D. ‘14) published “2020 Census Evaluation: Matching 2018 Census Barriers, Attitudes, and Motivators Study (CBAMS) Survey Sample to 2020 Census Report” with co-authors on the US Census Bureau Website 

Takiyah Harper Shipman (Ph.D. ‘17) was granted tenure at Davidson College (Davidson, NC). 

Annika Redgate (POLS ‘21) was a panelist at the Center for Career Development’s CLAS Career Night: Discover Your Professional Potential on February 26. Annika is currently a Trusts and Estates Legal Administrative Assistant at Hinckley Allen and previously interned at the League of Women Voters. 

 Imge Akaslan (Ph.D. ‘23)’s dissertation received honorable mention at the Labor and Employment Association’s (LERA) Best Dissertation Award Competition.
